David Lotton Glass Designs was establised in 1978, since then this self-taught, mid-western artist has pursued his passion for glass making creating his “one of a kind” vases, sculptures, paperweights and pendants.
Located in the rural country side of the mid-west, David Lotton and son, Jeremiah Lotton, work diligently creating their unique designs using the traditional, old world techniques of glass blowing. Inspired by his love for farming and his experience with raising cattle, David incorporates his love for nature into each design.
Developing his own individual glass formulas, David has created a complex palette of colors, giving him the ability to develop and formulate his layering and sculpting style. Each leaf, flower and threaded pattern has been handcrafted with precision, giving unprecedented consideration to detail and depth. Year after year, David studies and refines the techniques he uses in creating his art.
His world renowned floral patterns all capture David’s love for detail, color combining and the depth of layering. The Clematis Reflection series, Hollyhock Paperweight series as well as the Mixed Bouquet all reflect the beauty of color, form and technique of a lifetime’s work. The Organic Sculptural pieces reflect freedom of movement and the rich depth of a summer sunset.
David Lotton creations are treasured by art glass collectors throughout the world. His work is on display in many fine galleries and museums nation wide. David’s work has been described as timeless, pure beauty forever captured in time.
